Semler Scientific (SMLR) announced it bought 581 bitcoin for its treasury, sending shares up 25% in early US trading on Tuesday.

The company, with a market capitalization of less than $200 million (before this morning's price rise), had cash and cash equivalents of $62.9 million at the end of the first quarter, according to its latest earnings report.

The stock's 25% gain today cut the year's decline to just 2%.
