Odaily Planet Daily News: Hackers are selling Hong Kong people's personal information on the dark web and posting sample information on the BreachForums forum, claiming that Hong Kong residents' information related to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Home Affairs Department and border control has been leaked, including phone numbers, full names, ID numbers, addresses, and that the information was leaked by the Home Affairs Department. Each 10,000 items of information is sold for US$1,000, and 100,000 items of information are sold for US$5,000, requiring transactions in virtual currency. The Hong Kong Home Affairs Department stated that there was no sign of any intrusion or theft of information, and no information had been leaked and the police had been notified; the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner's Office also stated that it had not received any notification of data leaks from relevant departments.
