I'm going to share an article I wrote for some news sites last year reporting how our DOGE was doing so you can learn a little more about its history.
"Kabosu is a Shiba Inu dog who gained worldwide fame for being the face of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency. He was bred for sale, but in 2008 he was abandoned along with 19 other Shiba Inus by his breeder. Some of his brothers became slaughtered but Kabosu was rescued by a group of volunteers called Chibawan and taken to a dog shelter.
In November 2008, he was adopted by a Japanese family.
Doguinho's new family created a blog and has been sharing moments of Kabosu on the internet, one of these moments was the famous photo that became a meme and, later, a cryptocurrency.
Kabosu turns 16 on November 2, 2023, but unfortunately Dogecoin's health is not very good, according to his guardian he suffers from diseases such as acute cholangiohepatitis and chronic lymphoma leukemia, which left him weakened and led to starting the year 2023 on medication after the appearance of jaundice.
Despite the difficulties, Kabosu was and continues to be an inspiration to many, we wish him and his family all the health and happiness."
