#MarketSentimentToday $BTC The Khilafat movement was a very important event in the political history of India. The Caliphate under the rule of the Ottoman Empire was highly respected by Indian Muslims. During the First World War, the Ottoman Empire (Türkiye) joined the war in favor of Germany. However, Turkey and Germany lost the war, and on November 3, 1918, an agreement was reached between the Allies, commonly known as the Treaty of Istanbul. According to this treaty, the Turkish territories were divided between France, Greece, and Great Britain. Indian Muslims were disadvantaged during the war because of their deep-seated loyalty to the Caliphate. They respected this holy institution very much. Therefore, the British government's support was conditioned on the protection and protection of Turkey's holy places and on the condition that Turkey would not be deprived of its territories. However, the British government failed to fulfill both promises. The austerity treaty of 1920, which was concluded for Turkey as well as Samarna, Thrace, and Anatolia, was borrowed from him and distributed among European countries. A wave of anger swept through the Muslim world and the Indian Muslims revolted against the British government. Muslim leaders like Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Maulana Muhammad Ali Zohar, and Maulana Chaughat Ali opposed the policies of the British government and were put behind bars. Therefore, the Muslims organized a mass movement called Khilabat. The goals of this movement Protection of the sacred place of the Turks Return of territories to Turkey Restoration of the Ottoman Empire.
