According to TechFlow, asset management company WisdomTree (WT) has obtained approval from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to list cryptocurrency exchange-traded products (ETPs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), stating that it is one of the first applicants to obtain approval from the UK regulator for its proposed offering.
According to Wednesday's announcement, WisdomTree's physical Bitcoin (BTCW) and physical Ethereum (ETHW) ETPs are expected to start trading on May 28 and will be open only to professional investors. Their fees will be 35 basis points. The New York-based company has more than $111 billion in assets under management worldwide, and its WisdomTree Bitcoin Fund (BTCW) was one of the funds approved by the United States to operate a peer-to-peer Bitcoin ETF in January. It has offered cryptocurrency products on European exchanges since 2019.
