Who knows what sub-second speed is? It's in your account before you even blink? What is this about? Do we care about this little bit of time? We care about the price! Let's pull the market up! Don't do those fancy things. EOS had the fastest transfer speed back then, but what happened?
Aptos Chain supports instant transactions with sub-second end-to-end (E2E) latency
Aptos Labs published a post on the X platform stating that as the first blockchain to achieve sub-second end-to-end (E2E) latency, Aptos is setting a new standard.
Thanks to a series of performance and latency improvements made by the Aptos Labs team, Aptos has true instant transaction capabilities. This milestone means that users can experience:
- Lightning-fast transactions on Petra Wallet;
- Fast transaction finality even under high load;
- High throughput, providing a smooth user experience.
It sounds good, I'll test it later.
When it comes to increasing transaction speed and solving network congestion, I am actually more optimistic about Altlayer.
AltLayer is a very useful decentralized and elastic Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) protocol that can help application developers launch highly scalable L2 applications with a very high degree of customization. It can easily connect to the first and second layer networks such as Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos, Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.
For example, suppose a large project needs to perform mintNFT operations. Due to the huge traffic, it is likely to cause congestion and gas surges. However, the project party can completely build a temporary second-layer network on AltLayer to complete the operation. After the mintNFT is completed, the data is transferred back to Ethereum, and the mission of this temporary second-layer network is over. Doing so can not only avoid large-scale congestion on the Ethereum network, but also help the project party to successfully complete the required actions.
AltLayer supports evm and wasm by default, as well as multi-chain and various vm, so there is no need to worry about fault tolerance. It is basically suitable for projects on various chains.
Problems that Altlayer solves
Usually, on-chain congestion is unfair to many projects, especially for some start-ups and less well-known projects. However, as a universal network, the Ethereum network will be blocked for everyone.
Therefore, there is a great demand for solutions that can provide complete and convenient solutions to temporary congestion problems.
ALT users can obtain basic rewards by staking $ALT tokens in the main reward pool, and delegate ALT tokens to different Launchpool pools through re-staking to win future rewards from projects such as Xterio, SWELL, DODO, etc.
Altlayer Background
AltLayer has a strong background and is a company with strong support. Last July, AltLayer successfully completed a $7.2 million seed round of financing from investors such as Polychain Capital, Jump Crypto, and Breyer Capital. In addition, some well-known people participated in the investment, including Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood, Balaji Srinivasan, former Coinbase CTO and Circle co-founder Sean Neville, and Synthetix and Bodhi Ventures co-founders Kain Warwick and Jordan Momtazi.
