Hackers have been launching frequent attacks on public and private institutions in Hong Kong. Recently, the Hong Kong Professional Continuing Education School and Lukfook Jewellery were targeted by hackers. About 450GB of files from the Continuing Education School were publicly released on the dark web, and nearly 10,000 people have accessed the information. Some hackers have claimed online that they are selling the personal data of 5 million Lukfook members.

Recently, a hacker posted on Telegram claiming that the member data from Lukfook is priced at 25,000 USDT (about 195,000 Hong Kong dollars). It is understood that the leaked data includes the members' names, dates of birth, addresses, ID numbers, email addresses, account passwords, phone numbers, and WeChat accounts, including personal information of mainland and local customers.
