Donald Trump, at his Mar-a-Lago residence, told buyers of his Mugshot Edition NFT collection, who purchased over 47 tokens for $99, that if they like digital assets in any form, then they better vote for him.
“Biden doesn’t even know what cryptocurrency is and if cryptocurrency is leaving the US because of hostility to it, we will stop it. If the country is going to embrace digital assets, we must allow them to stay,” he said.
FOX Business journalist Eleanor Terrett, who was present at the meeting, noted how different the positions of the two main US presidential candidates are in relation to digital assets.
More than a fifth of voters in six swing states believe presidential candidates' positions on cryptocurrencies could be critical to winning the fall 2024 election, according to a poll released by blockchain venture capital platform Digital Currency Group.
