US Bancorp disclosed over $15 million worth of spot BTC ETF investments on May 8.

The company revealed that it purchased approximately 87,744 shares of Fidelity’s FBTC, valued at $5.4 million; 46,011 shares of Grayscale’s GBTC, valued at $2.9 million; and 178,567 shares of BlackRock’s IBIT, valued at $7.2 million.

According to its most recent 13F filing, U.S. Bancorp's investments total $71.8 billion.

US Bancorp is one of the largest bank holding companies in the United States, with more than $663 billion in assets under management as of the end of 2023.

On May 9, Edmond De Rothschild Holding SA separately disclosed over $4.2 million worth of spot BTC ETF investments.

The firm purchased 103,600 shares of BlackRock’s IBIT, valued at approximately $4.2 million, and 1,300 shares of GBTC, valued at $82,121.

The company's investments total $6 billion, according to its most recent 13F filing.

Several other companies have disclosed investments in spot BTC ETFs in recent weeks.

Hightower Advisors, SouthState Bank, Susquehanna International Group, BNP Paribas, Burkett Financial Services and Legacy Wealth Asset Management have all bought the ETF.

Meanwhile, MassMutual reported that it will continue to invest in Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), having invested in 227 shares on May 9, valued at $14,340.

The latest disclosures cover purchases through the first quarter of 2024. The deadline for filing quarterly 13F filings is May 15, and other companies are likely to disclose investments in the coming days.

BlackRock and Bitwise executives believe that institutional investors will continue to buy spot BTC ETFs.

As of May 9, the AUM of spot BTC ETFs totaled $52.7 billion, and as of May 8, the cumulative inflow was nearly $11.8 billion.
