[This is why BONE was born in the first place—Team members reveal Ryoshi’s original plan]

Lucie, head of Shiba Inu marketing, recently revealed to the SHIB community founder Ryoshi’s latest motivation for creating the BONE token. Initially, BONE was established to reward SHIB holders, but later transitioned to leveraging Shibarium, a second layer solution, to facilitate the destruction of SHIB. Lucie did not specify whether this change occurred before or after Ryoshi left the project.

Currently, BONE tokens drive transactions on Shibarium and are used to pay for gas, which is used for network maintenance and a portion of which is converted to SHIB for destruction, emphasizing the unique role of each token in the ecosystem.

In another post, Lucie responded to questions about "SHIB's slow burning speed" and the lack of contribution from the development team, pointing out that SHIB is similar to Bitcoin in that there is no central authority behind it. She reminded the community that Ryoshi had destroyed his Burn Key, giving the vision to Shytoshi Kusama, and that the team could not burn at will.

Lucie emphasized that the original design intention of SHIB is to allow developers to create products and DApps around this meme currency, to encourage the community to develop practical tools, and thereby increase the burning of SHIB. “Just like Bitcoin, anyone can build around SHIB, but it requires huge capital, focus and persistence,” she said metaphorically.
