What is the Pepe cryptocurrency for?
Anyone who is aware of some of the more famous memescoins, such as Dogecoin or Shiba Inu Coin, knows that the strength of the asset lies in building an engaged community. It is these groups that can speculate and make the currency go viral, influencing its price.
But despite its apparent uselessness, according to its developers, the main objective of the Pepe cryptocurrency is to create a platform for trading and sharing memes and images of Pepe the Frog. These memes are called "Rare Pepes" (or rare Pepes, translated into Portuguese) and are treated as collectible digital assets, with some of them being quite valuable.
Furthermore, as we have already mentioned, these currencies have a strong and engaged community that supports and promotes their use and acceptance in the market.
