Bitcoin NFT sales surpassed Ethereum in April
According to data, Ethereum NFT became the market's 1st expanded NFT public chain with 6.87 million sales on Wednesday. The platform's total transaction volume decreased slightly to 14,840 transactions from 14,987 transactions the previous day, but still remained constant. There is high activity with 4,229 unique buyers and 3,304 unique sellers.
Ethereum's sales in April were $241 million, more than half of March's 489 million sales, marking the worst monthly NFT performance since October 2023. Bitcoin ranked second in NFT sales on Wednesday, but wasn't far behind Ethereum, with 6.74 million Bitcoin sold daily. Bitcoin outperformed Ethereum in April, leading the market with sales at $602 million at one point, but falling from $625 million in March. The growth in Bitcoin NFT sales was driven by the April 20 halving event, which coincided with the launch of Runes in the market.#NFT
