Binance Founder CZ Speaks for the First Time After His Prison Sentence!

Former Binance CEO says user funds are safe.

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of the giant cryptocurrency exchange Binance, was sentenced to 4 months in prison in the case where he was tried for crimes such as money laundering. US Government officials wanted CZ to receive a 3-year prison sentence.

Minutes ago after this case, the former Binance CEO shared a post on his official X/Twitter account and emphasized that user funds were safe. Here are the words in CZ's last post:

“I want to thank everyone for your interest and support, whether it be writing a letter, showing support at X, or any other way.

They all mean so much to me and keep me strong. I will take my time, complete this phase and focus on the next part of my life (education).

I will remain a passive investor (and owner) in crypto. Our industry has entered a new phase. Compliance is very important.

The positive side of this whole process is that Binance is under the spotlight. Funds are SAFU, protect users.”

According to CZ's statements, Binance and the crypto industry seem to have left these recent bad developments behind.
