According to ChainCatcher, Polkadot referendum 682 is currently being voted on, proposing to set the development direction of Polkadot to use the JAM protocol to replace the current relay chain protocol. The proposal currently has a 100% support rate and is expected to be passed in 27 days.

The proposal aims to make decisions on the responsibilities of JAM's approval, consistency, and fulfillment. The approval of the proposal is intended to show that the community is willing to accept the approval and supervision of JAM by the Technical Association, but if the proposal is approved, no changes will be implemented on the chain.
