CoinVoice has recently learned that according to CoinDesk, PV01, a tokenization company led by Max Boonen, the founder of cryptocurrency market maker B2C2, said on Tuesday that the company has completed its first tokenized bond sale under British law, marking a key step towards the goal of creating a bond market (including corporate debt) on the blockchain track.

The asset is a tokenized version of $5 million worth of U.S. Treasury bonds issued on the Ethereum blockchain on April 8 and redeemed a week later. Market makers B2C2, BlockTower Capital and Keyrock invested in PV01’s “proof-of-concept” issuance.

After completing the initial issuance, Boonen said PV01 plans to expand its tokenized treasury issuance in the short term and expand to corporate bond issuance in the medium term. [Original link]
