US Senator Marsha Blackburn has expressed concern about the possible threat to personal privacy and government control associated with Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) and Bitcoin. 🕵️‍♀️

"CBDC is a way for the government to look into everyone's personal finances," Blackburn said. She argues that such digital currencies could provide unprecedented access to individual financial transactions, increasing the potential for government control over personal freedoms.

In contrast, Blackburn praised cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin for their decentralized nature and role in promoting financial autonomy. "One of the things we're looking at is the freedom aspect, the privacy aspect of Bitcoin. It's very good," she said.
