Mysten Labs Teams Up with Playtron to Launch New Handheld Gaming Device for Blockchain and PC Gaming
Mysten Labs, the creator of the Sui blockchain, has partnered with Playtron to develop the SuiPlay0x1, a gaming laptop designed to bridge the gap between blockchain and traditional PC gaming.
The device was announced at the Sui Basecamp event during Paris Blockchain Week. The device will be powered by the Linux-based Playtron OS and will be compatible with a range of hardware configurations. SuiPlay0x1 aims to popularize crypto gaming by integrating the Sui network and providing reward programs.
Users will be able to link their Sui assets to their Playtron account, allowing access across devices. The handheld device will feature Sui's zkLogin feature, which will make it easier to log in like Web2 and allow you to purchase traditional games through Sui Wallet on the Playtron store.
SuiPlay0x1, scheduled for release in 2025, will support games built on the Sui blockchain, other Web3 games, and AAA PC games from platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store.
