📣Good news! The popularity of RGB++ and related asset issuance is gradually increasing. Let's take a look at the design principles of RGB and RGB++ protocols! 🎉

The RGB protocol is a special P2P asset protocol, which is a computing system under the Bitcoin chain. In this system, users need to run the client in person and verify the transfer behavior related to themselves. This method is called "interactive transfer". The reason for this is to protect privacy and avoid the "consensus protocol" in traditional blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. Once the data goes through the consensus protocol, it will be observed by almost all nodes in the network, making it difficult to protect privacy.

However, this method of the RGB protocol also brings some problems, such as the data island problem and the burden of users running the client to verify the data themselves. In order to solve these problems, the RGB++ protocol came into being.

The RGB++ protocol proposes a new idea. It combines the RGB protocol with public chains that support UTXO, such as CKB, Cardano, Fuel, etc. The latter serves as the verification layer and data storage layer of RGB assets, and transfers the data verification work originally performed by users to these third-party platforms/public chains. This is equivalent to replacing client verification with "third-party decentralized platform verification", as long as you trust these public chains.

The RGB++ protocol and the original RGB protocol are theoretically compatible with each other, not one without the other. The RGB++ protocol introduces an important trust assumption: users should be optimistic that the CKB/Cardano chain, or the network platform composed of a large number of nodes relying on consensus protocols, is reliable and correct.

In general, the design principles of the RGB and RGB++ protocols are very interesting. While protecting privacy, they are also working hard to improve user experience. What do you think of these two protocols? Welcome to leave a message in the comment area to share your views! 😊
