OpenAI announced that it will allow users to use ChatGPT directly without registering for the service.

OpenAI said it will gradually roll out the feature starting Monday, allowing more than 100 million users in 185 countries and regions to use ChatGPT to learn new things, find creative inspiration, and get answers to their questions.

OpenAI also said it has introduced additional content protections for users who can access ChatGPT without registration, such as blocking prompts and spawns in a wider range of categories. However, these categories were not specified.

In addition to the free version of ChatGPT (i.e. ChatGPT3.5), OpenAI will continue to offer paid versions for individuals, team users, and enterprises.

The company also claims that it may use user-contributed content to help improve its large language model, but users can turn off this feature.
