Halving #BTC
The algorithms of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin do not allow the issuance of an infinite number of coins. The Bitcoin emission is limited to 21,000,000 coins, and due to the halving mechanism in the Bitcoin network, the supply of coins is growing progressively and is noticeably inferior to the growth rate of demand for them.$BTC
The creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, laid down halving in the Bitcoin network algorithm once every four years, every 210,000 blocks - until the end of the emission of this cryptocurrency (presumably in 2140).
In the first years of Bitcoin’s existence, cryptocurrency miners received 50 BTC per block mined, after the 2012 halving - 25 BTC, from 2016 - 12.5 BTC, from 2020 - 6.25 BTC, in 2024 they will receive 3,125 BTC.#BTC
