What is Altcoin Season?

Everyone has heard of Alt season…

It is a phenomenon that occurs during bull cycles. It tends to take place during the last 70% or so of a cryptocurrency bull cycle. Bitcoin has been at the forefront since the beginning, attracting liquidity from both retail and institutional investors. After Bitcoin had its initial price increase, it started breaking all-time highs, people started talking about it again after the long boring bear cycle, it started making headlines on the news. news and FOMO sets in.

Profits are made slowly with BTC but people want more. They want to make 10 times profit within a month. Bitcoin price will begin to slow down and begin to undergo consolidation phases. Investors started withdrawing btc profits and pouring them into altcoins. We see btc dominance decreasing and altcoin dominance increasing. Then we saw altcoin FOMO take hold and this is where people made serious money.

Some altcoins have started to appear but they are not yet fully effective. Alts will really start to explode in Q4 2024 and start to peak in Q1 2025.
