LONG entries, also known as long positions, are an investment strategy where traders enter the market with the expectation that the price of an asset will increase. To detect entry opportunities in LONG, traders often perform technical analysis of price charts, looking for patterns or signals that indicate an uptrend.
For example, if a trader believes that the price of Bitcoin is going to rise, he or she may decide to buy and hold the cryptocurrency, hoping to sell it later at a higher price, known as going LONG. This strategy contrasts with entries in SHORT, where it is speculated that the price of the asset will decrease.
To identify these entries, traders can use tools such as trend lines, momentum indicators such as the RSI (Relative Strength Index), and other technical analysis methods to predict price movements.
