Bitcoin halving dates
To date, 3 Bitcoin halvings have occurred: in 2012, the block reward reduced from 50 BTC to 25 BTC; in 2016, it decreased to 12.5 BTC; and in May 2020, it settled at 6.25 BTC. The fourth halving is anticipated in 2024, lowering the reward to 3.125 BTC.
