According to Foresight News, blockchain payment company Zone announced the completion of a US$8.5 million seed round of financing, led by Flourish Ventures and TLcom Capital, with participation from Digital Money Group, VKAV (Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures) and Alter Global. The new funding will allow Zone to further expand its network coverage in Africa, connecting more banks and financial services companies.
Zone is a decentralized payment network in Africa. Its Layer1 blockchain network digitizes legal payments, allowing participating institutions to directly execute payment transactions without intermediaries, while fully automating settlement, reconciliation, etc.
