What is RAM?

RAM is the memory on the EOS network, with a total amount of 390g. It has just stopped being issued and will never be issued again. There is only so much RAM on the EOS network and it is very scarce. Everything you do on EOS consumes RAM (registering accounts, ecological applications, etc.)

Can RAM be listed on exchanges?

RAM is not a currency, it is a system resource on the EOS network and can only be traded on the resource exchange of the Bancor algorithm on the chain.

RAM Bancor algorithm price calculation (the relationship between the amount of RAM locked EOS and its price):

10 million EOS → 0.0540 EOS/kb

11 million EOS → 0.0650 EOS/kb

12 million EOS → 0.0773 EOS/kb

13 million EOS → 0.0908 EOS/kb

...

20 million EOS → 0.2148 EOS/kb

30 million EOS → 0.4833 EOS/kb

40 million EOS → 0.8592 EOS/kb

...

100 million EOS → 5.4297 EOS/kb

200 million EOS → 21.5978 EOS/kb

300 million EOS → 48.5042 EOS/kb

...

The system automatically goes long:

RAM is an indispensable resource on the EOS network. Owning RAM is equivalent to owning a scarce piece of land. Upland, a Metaverse game on the EOS network, has consumed dozens of gigabytes of RAM and continues to do so. Any other applications and various on-chain operations are constantly consuming RAM.
