In June 2017, the price of BTC reached nearly 20,000 RMB per coin. Market sentiment was extremely high and ICOs were rampant. The valuation of any newly issued project could exceed 100 million RMB. A small exchange called Binance was also born at that time.

At that time, OKCoin and Huobi, the two major exchanges, had long been ranked first and second in global trading volume. CZ Zhao Changpeng, who once served as CTO of OKCoin, and He Yi, the former co-founder of OKCoin, decided to co-found Binance.

In June 2017, Binance Exchange announced that it would issue its platform coin BNB through ICO. At that time, the Binance ICO website attracted a number of cryptocurrency circle bigwigs to serve as consultants. This star exchange project led by Zhao Changpeng and He Yi became the hottest ICO project at the time.

When I learned that this hot project was going to raise funds publicly, I immediately paid attention to its developments every day, because in my eyes bnb could at least give me a 10-fold return.

On June 24, 2017, I became one of the first users of Binance.

On June 25, Binance BNB's ICO officially started, and I got 10,000 BNB as I wished. Binance's rule is that each person is limited to buying 10,000 BNB, and the price is 0.5 BTC for 10,000 BNB. At that time, the price of 1 BTC was 17,000-19,000 RMB, and the price of 1 BNB was about 0.9 RMB, which means more than 9,000 RMB for 10,000 BNB.

Soon after the crowdfunding ended, BNB started trading online, but due to the overall poor market conditions, the price of the coin once fell below the issue price. One month after BNB went online for trading, I exchanged 10,000 BNB for 0.46 BTC.

Later story:

The highest price of BNB in 2018: 120 RMB

The highest price of BNB in 2019: 230 RMB

The highest price of BNB in 2021 is 4400 RMB

Today in 2022, I missed out on more than 44 million RMB.

After the BNB price reached 120 in 2018, my perception was completely refreshed, because the feeling of missing out is much more painful than losing money.
