Satoshi-era crypto whale moved 2,000 dormant Bitcoins worth $123 million!
On March 1, 2024, the megawhale, which was originally active on March 11, 2020, transferred 2,000 BTC held since 2010 in approximately 40 separate transactions.
Each transaction involved just over 50 BTC sent from 40 unique Pay-to-Public-Key-Hash (P2PKH) addresses. The previous activity of the crypto whale was noted on December 5, 2023.

These funds were then pooled into one Pay-to-Script-Hash (P2SH) address and at the time of writing, the address “3BhsG” held all 2,000 BTC. These 40 transfers, confirmed at block height 832,648, replicate the whale's previous activity with all of its outgoing addresses created between August and November 2010.

The first expenses from all addresses, each over 13 years old, were created on March 1, 2024. In parallel, the crypto whale also moved 2,000 Bitcoin Cash (BCH) pegged to these bitcoins, directing them to the address “qpq4u”.
At the time of initial acquisition up to and including November 2010, the value of these BTC was approximately $800, but today the value of these assets has risen to $123.9 million.
The mega whale's movement marks a major development for 2024 as movement of Bitcoin, dormant since 2010, becomes increasingly rare. Since 2020, using the btcparser.com blockchain analyzer, it was revealed that this crypto whale made transfers 14 times. The total amount of 16,000 primary and legacy BTC moved by the crypto whale over the entire period is valued at almost $991 million.
