Today, let's talk about XAI.
The staking feature is expected to be launched by the end of this month. It's important to note that staking allows the tokens mined by nodes to be unlocked and withdrawn. However, the mined tokens, known as esXasi, need to be converted to XAI at a 1:1 ratio, and this conversion process takes 6 months (presumably linearly).
The introduction of staking may bring significant selling pressure from nodes. Here's some data: Over the course of two and a half months, around 180,000 esXAI tokens were mined by fifty-plus nodes. Additionally, the first round of airdrops has already recouped all the costs for the nodes (including purchase and server costs). This means that nodes currently hold XAI tokens at almost zero cost.
However, XAI will be used for many large-scale gaming projects. When the staking feature is launched at the end of the month, it will likely require gaming projects to provide incentives such as airdrops to stakers or nodes (to stimulate and increase the staking rate).
In the short term, I believe XAI may rise to around $2-3 (due to high staking APY and anticipated reduction in circulating supply from airdrops). It may then experience a significant pullback (due to project sell-offs and unlocked tokens from mining nodes).
Furthermore, the airdrop effect on gaming projects using XAI this year should be profitable (there may even be one or two blockbuster games). There are three types of airdrops on XAI:
1. Becoming a node (the current node price seems to be around 1.5 ETH).
2. Staking XAI to become esXAI.
3. Interactions.
There are already several gaming projects on XAI that offer tasks and airdrops. Everyone can keep an eye out for them.
