Why was Satoshi Nakamoto not in favor of describing Bitcoin as an “investment”?
Bitcoin (BTC) has appreciated so much in recent months that the cryptocurrency is once again worth more than some major companies, including Tesla. It has since become very popular with investors again, but Bitcoin creator Sathoshi Nakamoto did not see the currency as an investment at all.
Martii Malmi, an early Bitcoin developer, also known by his nickname Sirius, has shared emails between himself and Satoshi Nakamoto on his GitHub page.
Sathoshi Nakamoto: “Bitcoin is not an investment”
As one of the most active members of the early Bitcoin community, Malmi exchanged many emails directly with Sathoshi Nakamoto. Now they give us historical information about how both developers worked on BTC.
For example, in November 2009, Satoshi wrote “This will be so much fun!” This indicates that he himself had long been aware of the project's potential. It also shows that he didn't do programming at his regular job because he was happy to get back into it while working on Bitcoin.

He also realized that his anonymity could cause confusion and that he had to be careful with that. In fact, the use of the Bitcoin network itself is not necessarily anonymous but pseudonymous.
Furthermore, he did not like the idea of strongly describing Bitcoin as an investment. I believed it was simply risky and that people should draw their own conclusions about what exactly $BTC #satoshi is.
