WAX 2023 Roadmap
Description of Antelope
In 2023 and beyond, WAX will work with the Antelope Alliance to develop the Antelope stack, the WAX blockchain protocol, and its upgrades and tooling. The first quarter of 2023 will focus on upgrading the WAX blockchain to Antelope 3.2 to further unlock its potential.
For Q2 and Q3 of 2023, WAX is working on implementing the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. It will allow resource-intensive dApps to run on sidechains and facilitate native connections with other Antelope-based chains.
As part of the Antelope stack, WAX will also launch EVM, allowing developers from other ecosystems to easily integrate their projects. Finally, Antelope Instant Finality will be introduced, which will significantly reduce WAX blockchain confirmation times and simplify the development of Web3 applications.
By Q4 2023, WAX plans to implement updates to its blockchain resource model based on Antelope Scalability+ enhancements, which are focused on addressing resource constraints and supporting the creation and operation of over 1 billion active accounts.
