These are some of the runes commonly known as Old Norse Runes, also known as Viking Runes. They are an ancient writing system used to write ancient Nordic Germanic languages such as Old Norse and Old Icelandic. These runes were widely used in ancient Norse and Viking societies, often carved on stone tablets, wood, or other surfaces to commemorate, mark, or convey messages.
