Bitcoin ecosystem 🌐 SRC-20 tokens
#SRC-20 is a token standard developed using the #STAMPS protocol that allows storing 🖼️ graphical and 📜 textual information in transaction outputs in the #Bitcoin network.
❗ This standard has a number of differences from #BRC-20 :
➕ Data cannot be deleted
➕ Works at a more basic level
➖ Transactions are more expensive
➖ More restrictions on the amount of information available
➖ Token can be destroyed if the bound UTXO set is spent
After the release of #Ordinals and other protocols, 👨💻 bitcoin maximalists started criticising them for 😡 negative impact on network stability and decentralisation. But where one standard is banned, 😏 another will come as long as there is demand.
