ZetaChain blockchain architecture is a blockchain with native cross-chain smart contract support. It connects smart contract blockchains such as Ethereum, Ethereum L2 Rollups, Solana, Terra, and Algorand, and even non-smart contract blockchains such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin. ZetaChain consists of the Proof-of-Stake mainnet and observers and signers. Observers scan external chains, record relevant events, transactions and status, and reach a consensus on the ZetaChain mainnet on these observations at a certain point in time. Signers are responsible for submitting these consensus results to the external network to achieve cross-chain operations. Generally speaking, the ZetaChain architecture realizes the connection and collaboration of multiple different types of blockchains through the observer-mainnet-signer model, and provides universal holographic smart contract support.
