Everyone is working hard for life and work, and every job deserves respect. As sanitation workers, the beauty and cleanliness of the city cannot be achieved without their efforts, just to leave a clean city. The income from dirty and tiring work is barely enough to make ends meet. How much do you know about their sadness? Choice is more important than hard work, please read on. #RATS;

1. Work Environment

There is always a group of people wearing orange cleaning clothes, holding brooms in their hands, and stepping on garbage trucks. Regardless of spring, summer, autumn, winter, severe cold or heat, hot days or snowy days, they are always fighting for the cleanliness of the city. There is always a group of people who get up before dawn, appear on the streets and alleys of the city on time, and quietly sweep clean roads for us. But they are often not understood, respected, beaten, insulted, and despised. When they are tired and thirsty from work, they just sit on the curb to rest and drink tap water with a cup. The road will not become clean by itself, and the garbage will not decrease by itself. Behind every clean and spacious road is a group of people's hard work.#rats

2. Working hours

The sanitation workers work long hours and it is physically demanding work. Many of them are in their 50s and 60s. They get up early and stay up late, have little sleep, and work long hours, almost all of which last more than ten hours. They start cleaning at five in the morning, work until noon, take a short break, and then work in the afternoon and evening. They work at least eight hours a day and have no days off. You should have noticed that even during the Chinese New Year, the streets are full of garbage from firecrackers, and the garbage is swept up overnight. This is the dedication of this group of unknown elderly people.#rats

3. Job salary

Although the work of sanitation workers is very hard, their rewards are not equal to their efforts. Most of their salaries are only between 1,000 and 3,000 yuan, and some of them need to raise children and elderly people, which leads to many sanitation workers only eating white steamed bread to fill their stomachs, and they dare not go to the hospital when they are sick or injured. In fact, what we need to do is not only to respect and understand them, but also to not litter, protect the environment and reduce their workload, which is the greatest help to them.#rats
