Both have the opportunity to prove the transaction’s validity using efficient methods like zero-knowledge proof and smart contracts within the system.
To prevent such issues, an arbitration mechanism has been created. It allows senders to address problems with their transactions if they don’t receive their assets within a reasonable time.
Senders can start this process by providing proof of the transaction. Makers can offer evidence that the transfer is happening or has happened on the destination network.
If Makers show valid proof, there’s no loss. If they can’t, the sender gets a full refund and a portion of the excess margin from that transaction.
