Elon Musk discussed the possibility of using Bitcoin on Mars
During a video conversation on Social Network X entitled "ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) Approved" with ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood, Elon Musk rejected the idea of ââusing Bitcoin (BTC) as a currency on Mars.
He cited the significant time required to confirm transactions as a limiting factor.
Such statements are associated with Elon Muskâs plans to build a colony on Mars by 2050 and make people an interplanetary species.
However, after some thought, Musk came to the conclusion that, in principle, this is feasible. The fact is that the Earth is eight light minutes from the Sun, and Mars is about 12 light minutes away.
