Get ready to be blown away as I bring you the news of the sale of the Dookey Dash Golden Key NFT for a whopping $1.6 million! Streamer Kyle Jackson, aka Mongraal, sold his one-of-a-kind "Golden Key" to Upstate Shredding CEO Adam Weitsman on Monday, making it the most expensive NFT sale to date.

To earn the Golden Key, Mongraal had to achieve the highest score on Yuga Labs' skill-based NFT game Dookey Dash. The game was only open to holders of a Sewer Pass NFT, which was claimable for free by members of the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club. The game generated a total volume of 39,676 ETH (about $64 million) during its gameplay from January 18 to February 15.

The Golden Key NFT grants its holder the ability to summon their "Power Source" on March 8, making it a highly coveted prize among NFT collectors. Mongraal initially listed the NFT for 2,222 ETH (about $3.6 million) on OpenSea but ultimately sold it to Weitsman for 1,000 ETH.

Yuga Labs has confirmed that royalties from the sale will be paid in full, ensuring that the creator of the game receives proper compensation. For those who missed out on the Golden Key, there is still a chance to win additional prizes through the Dookey Dash: Toad Mode, which is open to Sewer Pass holders until March 1.

This sale has solidified the NFT market's position as a legitimate player in the art and collectibles world. With record-breaking sales like this one, we can only expect more attention-grabbing NFT sales in the future. So, keep an eye out for the next big thing in the NFT world, because it could be worth millions!
