I was in a conversation with Joseph Nssien about this popular story that goes when the internet started not everyone saw it as the next big thing just few tapped into it and now everyone uses it . I am of a strong opinion that this narrative is wrong !!
Yes wrong!!
Same is said about the blockchain ; blockchain is at it’s early stage. Very soon it will be fully adopted and those that didn’t jump in early will be at Lost.
And I say this narrative is wrong once again!!
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀.
Until then, BLOCKCHAIN WILL NEVER HIT MASS ADOPTION. It will only be for the EDUCATED AND THOSE WITH INTERNET ACCESS.
In regards to the most re-occurring question, "IS DEFI CURRENTLY HELPING TO BANK THE UNBANKED?"
The answer is a {Poor No} and will continue until products that are irresistible and desirable solve root cause demand problems with proper Strategic Marketing targeted to the mass demographic.
Not just staking and farming.
How can you explain to a rural farmer or a bus driver or a cleaner who isn’t learned and doesn’t even use an android to make use of DEFI products? Don’t you think the hassle of them comprehending the technicalities will make them not learn because their capacity of understanding can’t take it?
How do you tell a woman or convert businessmen that use just Nokia touch light phones to jump on the massive trend blockchain technology is bringing?
How!! How!!
The problem isn’t about the people refusing to join. Opening a bank account is easy for these masses than telling them to deploy their wallet on DEFI and still be able to scale with no complexity. As I said, the problem isn’t the masses; how would you teach a bus driver to deploy all these features?
The problem is the solutions displacing this pain point down to the roots. Do you think our middle age parents will be on the internet if there isn’t any Facebook or WhatsApp or bank app or these news sites that pop notifications? Do you think they would be using the internet if the products available were slack, Reddit, and all these technical apps that need technical know-how to maneuver?
I remain on the grounds it isn’t about the time the innovation has been around. It’s about the products and innovation built on it to provide solutions that are in demand by the majority of the masses.
Only then; we can get to see the mass adoption we talk about, about the blockchain. Now, you’re thinking we would go to the masses and teach them.
How much education will you Educate middle-aged people? How much❓ The magic is in providing solutions that will hit a mass pain point and can easily be used. Not everyone has access to the internet how do you bridge that currently, if you don’t have the internet, you can’t be able to access the services on the blockchain based on the products available.
