ETF will kill Bitcoin...
At least that's what Arthur Hayes thinks
We are all tired of waiting for the approval of the Bitcoin ETF, because the crypt will become more accessible, which means we will have more new money in the market.
Today's news that the SEC now does not want to accept anything at all has delayed this event for an even longer period.
But how often do we think about the negative consequences? But Arthur Hayes is thinking (https://cryptohayes.substack.com/p/expression) so we suggest finding out his opinion on this matter.
🟠Reason #1
If the SEC does accept ETFs, then traditional finance will gain control of a huge portion of Bitcoin. Because companies like BlackRock act strictly on government instructions.
🟠Reason No. 2
Because an ETF is a security, many will stop buying Bitcoin and storing it in their wallets. This means that there will be fewer and fewer transactions and miners will stop working. The network will die.
But not everything is so terrible, according to Arthur Hayes, Bitcoin’s place will be taken by some new coin that will take into account all the past shortcomings.
