According to Cointelegraph, Aptos Foundation and global asset management giant Franklin Templeton announced the integration of Franklin OnChain US Government Money Fund (FOBXX) on the Aptos blockchain. The fund mainly invests in US government securities, cash and repurchase agreements, and currently manages more than US$427.95 million in assets. FOBXX is the first US-registered mutual fund to use blockchain technology to process transactions and record share ownership. Each fund share is marked as a BENJI token and can be stored in a digital wallet. Aptos was founded by Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching. Since its launch in October 2022, it has completed more than 1.7 billion transactions, with a current total locked value of US$545 million.
