According to TechFlow, on September 30, Blockworks reported that several listed companies continued to increase their holdings after Bitcoin hit an all-time high in March.

MicroStrategy, Block, Metaplanet, Semler Scientific, OneMedNet and British football club Real Bedford FC purchased a total of approximately 48,836 bitcoins, investing approximately US$3.09 billion, currently worth approximately US$3.1 billion.

Among them, MicroStrategy accounted for 97% of the purchases. Since MicroStrategy first purchased Bitcoin in August 2020, at least 15 companies have included Bitcoin in their balance sheets.

Since the beginning of this year, the frequency of corporate purchases of Bitcoin has increased significantly, reaching 32 times, far exceeding the 9 times in the whole of last year. Block adopts a regular investment strategy, using 10% of its Cash App Bitcoin-related gross profit to purchase Bitcoin every month. According to its second quarter financial report, Block invests about $2.2 million in Bitcoin per month, which is about 34.6 Bitcoins at the current price.
