According to ChainCatcher, the public chain team Meter.io announced that it will soon release the consensus engine Supernova Core, which is compatible with the Cosmos SDK. Supernova Core uses the HotStuff-2 consensus to optimize high-performance public chains and decentralized L2 scenarios, solving the scalability and decentralization issues on Cosmos.

The Cosmos SDK combined with Supernova Core allows developers to quickly release high-performance L1 or decentralized L2. The Meter team revealed that the blockchain liquidity infrastructure project Sumer.money will release the Supernova Core testnet.

Previously, Sumer.money has received investments from multiple VCs including Pantera, and supports multiple ecosystems including Etherum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base and Meter.
