Hut 8 has announced the launch of its GPU-as-a-Service business, partnering with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to build a cluster of 1,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs in Chicago, according to Wu.

The service, launched by Hut 8 subsidiary Highrise AI, has already started generating revenue for an unnamed AI cloud developer.

According to Hut 8’s Q2 financial report, Bitcoin mining accounted for 39.5% of its total revenue, which was $35.2 million. Hut 8’s stock price rose 4.63% in pre-market trading on Thursday.
