According to BlockBeats, on September 26, AminoChain announced the completion of a $5 million seed round of financing. This round of financing was led by a16z. This is the first DeSci project invested by a16z.

AminoChain is building an L2 blockchain protocol that connects enterprise healthcare organizations and builds user-owned decentralized healthcare applications on top of it. The first application is a biospecimen marketplace where researchers can query and license samples through a network of biobanks.

Patients can track sample usage, learn new insights generated by their samples, and earn money when they sell their samples.
