Elon Musk's social media platform X has taken action to comply with local regulations after being blocked in Brazil for nearly a month, Cointelegraph reported. X suspended accounts accused of spreading false information starting September 18 and announced that it would appoint new legal representatives. Under Brazilian law, social media platforms must have legal representation in the country. Accounts associated with digital influencer Allan dos Santos and journalist Paulo Figueiredo have been suspended, and nine other accounts have also been closed. The accounts are believed to be associated with supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Musk publicly denounced Judge Moraes' actions as politically motivated censorship, despite this, the Brazilian Supreme Court upheld Moraes' decision. On September 17, access to the X platform in Brazil was temporarily restored due to a technical glitch. According to Moraes' ban, users who access the platform through VPNs may be fined $9,000 per day.
