According to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, voters’ views of Harris have slightly improved from July and now view the Democratic presidential candidate in a positive light, ChainCatcher reported.

Former President Donald Trump's approval rating remained stable, even though the poll was conducted before the Republican candidate was assassinated on his golf course in Florida on Sunday.

About half of registered voters now have a favorable view of Harris, compared to 37% who have a favorable view of Trump. Both candidates are currently ranked similarly to where they were in August.

An August 2024 poll found that 48% of the public had a favorable view of Harris and 41% had a favorable view of Trump. The latest poll found that 88% of Democratic voters had a favorable view of Harris and 77% of Republican voters had a favorable view of Trump.
