According to TechFlow, on September 18, RedStone co-founder and COO Marcin Kaźmierczak said that with the rise of liquid pledge derivatives, it is necessary to more accurately quantify the pledge income of each platform and its changing trends.

Kazmierczak emphasized that using a standardized on-chain Ethereum Combined Staking Rate (CESR) oracle data feed as a benchmark is critical for systematically analyzing staking trends.

He noted that accurately quantifying staking trends can help assess their impact on network security and token economics, and provide Ethereum holders with strategic basis for generating additional returns.

Data shows that as of July 2024, Ethereum's network security budget has reached $110 billion, accounting for 28% of its total supply. The staking function is widely used in exchanges and financial applications to attract holders to participate in network security maintenance. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has also staked part of his holdings.
