According to Bloomberg, the market operator expects that Spain could see more than 20 initial public offerings (IPOs) this year. Bjørn Sibbern, head of SIX Global Exchange, said that this estimate includes listings on Spain's SME trading venue and the main market. So far, Spain has seen more than 10 listings, and Sibbern hopes to reach more than 20, noting that several more companies are in the pipeline.

Sibbern also mentioned that the Swiss exchange also has a "relatively strong listing pipeline" in the next 12 months, but did not specify the number. He said that Switzerland mainly attracts large companies to go public, and is not as good as Spain in attracting small and medium-sized enterprises to go public.

In addition, SIX is considering introducing new asset classes to its trading platform, including carbon removal credits. SIX is also looking into establishing a European venue for cryptocurrency trading for institutional investors, but discussions are still in the early stages.
