According to Cointelegraph, Elon Musk clarified that his AI startup xAI will not charge Tesla for sharing technology. Previously, the Wall Street Journal stated that xAI discussed technology sharing with Tesla and obtained revenue. Musk said in a post on the X platform on September 8 that the xAI model contains a lot of human knowledge and cannot be run on Tesla vehicle computers, nor does it need to be authorized to Tesla. Musk also mentioned that Tesla has learned a lot from discussions with xAI engineers and accelerated the realization of driverless technology, but without obtaining any authorization from xAI. Musk believes that xAI is expected to become a strong competitor to OpenAI by the end of 2024. On September 2, Musk announced that xAI's Colossus 100,000 H100 training cluster was online and would be expanded to 200,000 GPUs within a few months. Musk also responded to Trump's statement, expressing his willingness to serve the United States without the need for compensation, title or recognition.
