According to Cointelegraph, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk plans to build a human city on Mars in the next few decades and start an unmanned Starship trip to Mars in 2026.

If all goes well, manned missions will begin by the end of this decade. The first unmanned flight will test Starship's landing capabilities and ensure the safety of manned missions.

Musk says becoming a multi-planet species will greatly increase the lifespan of consciousness because we no longer have all of our "eggs" on one planet.

Musk also mentioned that the main challenges of building a city on Mars are economic and technical. The current cost per ton of payload is about $1 billion, which needs to be reduced to $100,000.

NASA research shows that using blockchain technology to coordinate, execute and verify communications between satellites may be the most effective method in the future. SpaceX has 6,370 active Starlink satellites, accounting for 62% of the world's active satellites.
